For more than 16 years, the Western Australia Kannada Sangha (WAKS) has been the cultural home for Kannadigas in Western Australia—bringing our community together through language, festivals, arts, sports, and shared traditions. Becoming a WAKS member is more than just registration.
It is a commitment to preserving our language, supporting our community, and passing on Kannada heritage to the next generation. Your membership helps sustain cultural programs, support community initiatives, and ensure that Kannada identity continues to thrive in Western Australia. When we support WAKS, we are supporting Kannada culture itself.
As Kannadigas living far from our homeland, it is our shared responsibility to preserve our language, traditions, and identity. WAKS provides a platform where our culture can continue to flourish and be proudly shared with the wider Australian community.
Every membership strengthens the Kannada community in Western Australia. The more members we have, the stronger our collective voice becomes in promoting cultural diversity and representing Kannadigas in the wider community.
Through initiatives such as Kannada Shaale, youth programs, cultural performances, and volunteering opportunities, WAKS helps children grow with confidence while staying connected to their roots.
